The Oaks Camp and Conference Center MMAP Project #1
It has been heard through the grapevine....that an update is wanted for the O'Bosky's blog!
We have, for the past three weeks, been at The Oaks Camp and Conference Center near Lancaster, California. It is a super wonderful Christian camp which is part of World Impact. The staff was a blessing and were so very friendly! We found we were blessed and refreshed as we blessed them. Traveling with a purpose...doesn't get better than this!
Steve and I are a part of MMAP (Mobile Missionary Assistance Program) Here are a few pics of what happened while we were there. These are the 5 men of this project. A great time was had by all as they loved and served the Lord helping out on different projects.
Smitty and Steve helped to fix the human foos ball game.
The ladies of the project on a walk to get some surplus produce. Cold and windy most of the time while we were here.
We are now traveling with our golf cart, Pepe the Mule!
The Mappers parked together up against a hill...nice place!
There were beautiful trails to walk on...The Creek Trail my favorite. Across from it a level trail that showed the fire damage from two years previous...but the promise of new growth in the grass and poppies.
A huge Indian paintbrush at the bottom of Creek Trail.
At the top of the Cross trail....lovely California foothills.
Looking down into the camp with some of the buildings. Beautiful place!
