It's Grand! Grand Cache and Grand Prairie

Reflections of May 19, 2014  Grand Cache and Grand Prairie Alberta Canada
*We parked in Super Stealth mode...behind an abandoned store.  We unhooked prior to arrival to give Queen Bee a rest on some steep hills and so Peewee was unhooked.  We drove around the little town in a driving rain to find a night spot.  Just when we were back to the rig, Steve spotted the closed convenience store.  We drove to the back and found a nifty nook, nice and level.  So we pulled up and backed in, put down the jacks and were cozy for the night...as it kept raining.  In a few hours the rain stopped.  We had homemade pizza and A &W root beer from the shop up the street, with no ice...as that is how they serve their drinks.  Gotta love Canada!
The next morning, actually the 19th, Steve was checking the outside and I was readying the inside to make our way to Grande Prairie, when he discovered a flat tire on the inside left dually.  We were up really early so got on the phone with our Road service.  Ha, luckily we were parked in the lot next to the Tirecraft Center and the fellow, Ben, only had to drive a few 100 feet to our rig.  It was a valve stem leak so a rather easy fix.  In the meantime, I vacuumed (gotta love solar power) and I took a morning walk.
Something about Alberta that has really bothered us this trip is the amount of garbage and trash we find everywhere!  There was a piece of litter every three feet!  I found a bag on my walk and filled it just in a short way and deposited it in a litter barrel, then walked some more and found another and filled it and threw that away.  Later that day I walked at the Rotary Park in Grand Prairie filling three more bags that I just happened to find along the way.  I told the Lord, if He provided the bags I'd do the picking up Next morning in Grand Prairie I filled up three more bags on a short walk.  I'm not getting too much quick exercise but a lot of bending over exercise! !  Even Tye is watching for trash and began to pick up pieces like I was!!!
The 19th was rather a small miracle day along with the tire being flat so close to the place to get it fixed we had two other interesting "gifts"  We hooked up Peewee and headed to Grand Prairie about 90 miles on really bumpy road!  We arrived at our casino destination and checked in with security and then unhooked the truck.  Steve said, "Oh no, I forgot to put the lock on the hitch and I lost it!"  We  were lamenting and unhooking the rest of the tow bar when Steve happened to spot the missing lock nestled amongst the coiled power cord from the RV to the truck!  Thanks Lord!
Later we went gambling after dinner...put in a few dollars to say we gambled instead of just parked.  They had fun looking games and we settled on two Wizard of Oz ones for $5 each.  In a few moments Steve had won $19.55  so we were ahead 14.55  We spent another $5 on two other games and it ended that the casino paid us $9.55 to park there! Gotta love it.
We went for a drive....saw the Stompeded grounds and some pretty horses and more of the outskirts of Grand Prairie then stopped at No Frills store for some veggies and fruit.  Back home, still daylight at almost 10 pm, I unloaded the groceries in the bags we carry for shopping.  I was getting ready to throw away some trash and something was on the ground so I stooped to pick it up and it was my missing bluetooth that had been gone missing since the beginning of April!  Thanks again Lord.

We had a blessed day....even to the after 10pm rummy game that I won :)
