GUIDANI TRAIL near Kartchner Caverns

The landscape is dry and covered with
Mesquite. The tufts of grass Edgewater show the signs of a winter rain. It is chilly here with an altitude of 4600 feet.

I choose the trail less traveled, the Guidani trail in the forest which just borders the state park with the fabulous caves . It is an easy walk until the climb to the top. Today I return to the wash to take a few pics.

Juneau, the capital of Alaska....a wonderful wet and rainy anniversary in Alaska! #39 A great ride on the Fjord Express catamarand.  This is a family owned business and their oldest daughter was our first mate for the day.  Just graduated high school and 18, she is working at getting her captain license. She was capable and did so much from tying up the boat to serving us hot beverages and seafood chowder on the way home to swinging the big boat around and docking us up as we returned!  The captain made sure that we saw lots of wildlife.  These are stellar sea lions and many were branded along their bodies so that the marine biologists can keep an eye on them.  There were so many of them lined up on the flat rocks.  It was a great sight to see!  The babies were having a swim here while the mom's took a break!  We saw so many bald eagles on this day!  You can see one tucked in the spruce tree here.  I took a great vid...

Sea Lion Delight!

While visiting the Pismo Beach area we are lunch at Fat Csts at the San Luis port. Afterwards Steve and I walked out to the per. We were rewarded with some sea lions. Their barking and playing put smiles on our faces for sure! Enjoy the pics! Lol...the pelican and seagull are a bonus...don't want to leave out the birds.
