Divine Appointment

Image
I'm still in tears as I write this.. God's hand is with us who know  Jesus... It is so evident. We pulled in to a scenic overlook rest area to change drivers as my turn for driving  was over.  I was filing my nails when a gentleman said,  "Excuse me, did you see a gray pickup stop here?"   I said,  "No."  the man paused and looked sad and upset at the same time and then  He  said. "We'll,  I've lost my keys."  I looked at his truck. It is a brand new Dodge Ram four doors, still with paper tags. I tell him he's asked the expert in losing keys and I walk over to help him. He seems embarrassed and I ask him what was the first thing he did when he got out. He said he already had checked in the bathroom.  I walk to the other side of the truck as I keep asking where he had looked.  I look into his truck and on the dash is a Bible. And I smile. "Hello fellow Believer!" I say.  He stops and looks at me as he is walking aroun...

Their barking and playing put smiles on our faces for sure! Enjoy the pics! Lol...the pelican and seagull are a bonus...don't want to leave out the birds.

The Oaks Camp and Conference Center MMAP Project #1

Image
It has been heard through the grapevine....that an update is wanted for the O'Bosky's blog! We have, for the past three weeks, been at The Oaks Camp and Conference Center near Lancaster, California.  It is a super wonderful Christian camp which is part of World Impact.  The staff was a blessing and were so very friendly!  We found we were blessed and refreshed as we blessed them.  Traveling with a purpose...doesn't get better than this!  Steve and I are a part of MMAP (Mobile Missionary Assistance Program)  Here are a few pics of what happened while we were there.  These are the 5 men of this project.  A great time was had by all as they loved and served the Lord helping out on different projects.   Smitty and Steve helped to fix the human foos ball game.  The ladies of the project on a walk to get some surplus produce. Cold and windy most of the time while we were here.   We are now traveling with our golf cart, ...

GUIDANI TRAIL near Kartchner Caverns

Image
The landscape is dry and covered with Mesquite. The tufts of grass Edgewater show the signs of a winter rain. It is chilly here with an altitude of 4600 feet. I choose the trail less traveled, the Guidani trail in the forest which just borders the state park with the fabulous caves . It is an easy walk until the climb to the top. Today I return to the wash to take a few pics.

Juneau Anniversary June 7 2014

Juneau, the capital of Alaska....a wonderful wet and rainy anniversary in Alaska! #39 A great ride on the Fjord Express catamarand.  This is a family owned business and their oldest daughter was our first mate for the day.  Just graduated high school and 18, she is working at getting her captain license. She was capable and did so much from tying up the boat to serving us hot beverages and seafood chowder on the way home to swinging the big boat around and docking us up as we returned!  The captain made sure that we saw lots of wildlife.  These are stellar sea lions and many were branded along their bodies so that the marine biologists can keep an eye on them.  There were so many of them lined up on the flat rocks.  It was a great sight to see!  The babies were having a swim here while the mom's took a break!  We saw so many bald eagles on this day!  You can see one tucked in the spruce tree here.  I took a great vid...
Our days at Haines, Alaska Wow...so much beauty here and really not enough words to even describe it all!  This is our first Alaska stop, a cute old town settled between the fijord of Lynn Canal and the Glaciers of tall jagged peaks.  We pull into town and get a discount price at the RV park in the far end of town between two main roads and then call the Oceanside RV Park to find that their rate is two dollars cheaper with a spectacular view of the bay and the towering snow covered mountains.  Not hard to decide where we will stay.  What a view!  We meet a number of nice people here, some we've connected with before at various places.  We met two former Marines traveling together who were NGG (not gay guys) and we've enjoyed their company.  While talking with the older Marine about Quartzsite, I realized that I had met him before there on Plomosa Road in Quartzsite when I stopped him to admire his truck.  He told me I could only look at it ...
