I want to add this ever so sweet flower. Can you see how incredibly small it is? That is my finger next to it! I would have missed it had I not been going slow, enjoying the moment. How much have we all swept past in our hurry of life? I am awed at God's grace and love as He had this bloom just at the time I would see it. And even to how He has allowed my camera to capture its beauty and share it with you all. So enjoy...
Up at 5:30....in the car with all my hiking gear and trusty pooch, Tye by 6 and arrive at White Dome Loop of Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada just as sunrise filled the sky with color.
I'm out of the truck and run for the sunrise!!!!!!!! Ha, I am met with this in my path.
A lovely desert sand hill! Good thing I have my hiking boots as I clomp up running my best to capture a picture of the sunrise color.
The trail is sandy much of the way. I walk down in a wash. I am alone but for God and dog. It's a bit eerie walking so early but so peaceful. A slotted canyon too! So neat! This shot was just as I was coming out of it. I wish I could send you what I experienced next. It wasn't a sight, but the most incredible smell!
The desert was alive with the scent of bushes and flowers in bloom. The sound of a hummingbird reached my ears and I just took in the fragrance with long slow breaths.
A yucca was almost in bloom,
This was a paper bag bush blooming.
The rocks were pretty spectacular, too! The colors so vivid in the early morning light.
I finished the look and made my way back to the parking lot....looking at these grand white domes. Thanks for stopping by!
