White Reef Trailhead

Red Cliffs Lowland Zone...White Reef Trailhead...Mt. Tipple destination.

I didn't know how long I'd have to hike here to get to the White Cliff in the foreground of this picture(I took it on the way out)  If you can enlarge it, you will see Mt. Tipple at the right side.  The morning was lovely...and it was so dark and early when I left...I walked right out without my visor or a hat! Not knowing the trail, I didn't know if I should wear my hiking boots or tennies...could have done with the tennies but I tromped the whole way in the boots! LOL
Gosh, the variety in color was so amazing from white to blue to red to green and gray...
Of course, my eye is ever on the flowers in bloom and this drainage was ablaze with some white ones and the colors striking in the early morning sun.
Up around the bend my time was up but I could see a tip of a mountain ahead...and a short way up the trail this view greeted me between to rocky outcroppings.
A bit further on....This was my view!  Breathtaking it was!

Up ahead Tye and I could see Mt. Tipple...and we trekked on determined to arrive in its shade!
It was getting warm by this time...and Tye and I had a snack and a drink and a funny picture before heading back. I had to back down the trail to get Mt. Tipple in the picture.
Another lovely view caught my attention as I headed back down the trail.
And a most beautiful Indian Paintbrush as well.
Headed home for breakfast and to go and see my Aunt Carmen and visit with her....Thanks for stopping by!
